| Essential Job Duties |
Provides leadership, strategy and oversight of enrollment systems, operations, IT support, data management and security across the Division of Enrollment Management and Services, which includes Undergraduate Admissions, Scholarships and Financial Aid, Registration and Records, Parent and Family Services, and the Joyner Visitor Center. Scope of systems includes, but is not limited to the Student Information System (
SIS); scholarship software; imaging technologies;
CRM; and communication technologies.
The Director will serve in the following capacities:
Systems
- Monitor EMAS systems to ensure that they are current and compliant with University, federal and state regulations and consistently applied across the division and the University.
- Oversee the project management of system upgrades/implementations by establishing specs, scope, teams, timelines and deliverables. Utilize reporting/assessment data to determine project needs and priority level.
- Serve on OIT's SIS Steering Team that is responsible for reviewing business and technology changes that impact the enterprise Student Information Systems, assessing the impacts, and providing guidance or recommendations regarding the changes.
Operations
- Provide counsel on the review, revision, and development of practices and policies pertaining to enrollment operations. Responsible for coordinating the communication and training of internal/external stakeholders on updates/changes/new practices and policies.
- As a key advocate for the people who use EMAS's technology services and the staff who support those services, collaborate with EMAS leaders to evaluate the needs of the division and university community to develop sustainable, scalable support processes to meet those needs. Ensure continuous quality assessment and improvement of processes.
- Represent EMAS on key University Task Force's and Committees focused on University strategic planning, business continuity, assessment, emergency response, policies and procedures.
IT Support
- Oversee the purchasing and allocation of the division's IT resources. Ensure the division follows the university IT security requirements. Maintain and build strong communication and efficiency among EMAS's Technical Support positions. Adhere to University's best practices in the field of IT and foster continuous improvement in EMAS's technology and services.
Data Management
- Ensure data governance, accuracy, and compliance through the development of efficient and effective processes and systems for collection, storage, and update of EMAS data.
Security
- Oversee the security setup and management for all EMAS systems. Develop processes to maintain and update vital set-up tables that support access to critical functions in admissions, student records and financial aid. Coordinate necessary security changes during major organizational changes within colleges, departments, and University administrative offices. Utilize queries and sql to assist with maintenance and changes to security/access.

| Other Responsibilities |
- Identify new and emerging areas in Enrollment systems and operations. Research, recommend, and discuss relevant initiatives to bring to the EMAS leadership team.
- Improve the effectiveness of EMAS's Systems and Operations team through continuous evaluation and assessment of processes and outcomes.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Master's degree OR
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience OR
- An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis.

- Experience with PeopleSoft Query, SAS and/or SQL.
- Previous supervisory and project management experience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Familiarity of enrollment management operations (admissions, registrar, scholarships and financial aid)
- Familiarity with enrollment management systems (PeopleSoft or related student information systems, Reporting tools, Client Relationship Management tool such as Slate, etc.)
- Working knowledge of NC State data governance, security, academic structure and campus infrastructure, protocols, policies and procedures.
