WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Corporate Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing enterprisewide accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role plays a critical leadership position in a capitalintensive, assetheavy environment, supporting executive decision-making while driving accuracy, discipline, and scalability across financial processes.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in heavy equipment, construction, manufacturing, or a similar operating model, with a proven track record of strengthening and transforming accounting functions through people leadership, process improvement, and technology enablement. Serving as a trusted partner to executive and operational leadership, the Corporate Controller delivers clear, decisionready financial insight with confidence and credibility in senior-level forums. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong ownership and accountability, proactively identify risks and opportunities while drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business. The candidate will lead disciplined, timely execution of financial processes and reporting while building scalable systems and a high-performing team that translates strategy into results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, and cost accounting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
  • Leverage data, automation, and standardized workflows to modernize close and reporting processes.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with GAAP.
  • Lead ERP optimization and accounting process improvement initiatives.
  • Direct the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and impairments.
  • Manage external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
  • Partner with operations and executive leadership to provide actionable financial insights.
  • Partner crossfunctionally to elevate financial literacy across the organization.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required; MBA or Master's degree a plus.
  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including senior leadership roles. Demonstrated experience leading full-cycle close, audits, and complex accounting operations. Proven track record of driving process improvement and system enhancements.
  • Strategic and operational mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fastpaced, highaccountability environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to financial stewardship.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to influence across departments.


TECHNICAL SKILLS


  • Expert knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage, or similar.
  • Experience with fixed asset systems and inventory management.
