Web Developer

Criterion Systems, Inc., is seeking a Microsoft Web Developer to support a USDA-Forest Service contract based in Boise, ID. Established in 1905, the Forest Service (FS) is a federal agency that manages public lands in national forests and grasslands under a founding principle, "To provide the greatest amount of good for the greatest amount of people in the long run". The agency's mission is to "sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the Nation's forests and grasslands to meet the needs of present and future generations". The right candidate will have experience providing Operations & Maintenance support on existing applications and managing enhancement releases.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Web Developer: Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Web Developer Responsibilities Include:

  • Self-motivated and professional in demeanor with proven success as a web developer in an Agile environment delivering fixes and enhancements.
  • Proven ability to interface successfully with the customer/client to drive high customer satisfaction and a positive team environment. This includes excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to navigate challenging situations with nuance and skill.
  • Experience with defining and documenting deliverable objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning features and functionality.
  • Experience with debugging and resolving issues in both the back-end (Node.js) and the front end Vue.js (Vue3).
  • Experience with completing applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
  • Experience with AWS web development, Jira, GitHub, CI/CD pipeline management, Jenkins, SonarQube, WebSphere / Tomcat, HTML, and related technologies is desired.
  • Experience and understanding of 508 compliance concepts and methodologies.

Web Developer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Must have strong communications skills (verbal and written), strong teaming skills and tenacious in their ability to address issues

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience with job related skills

  • Experience working remotely 100% with high-speed internet and a dedicated office.

  • Ability to provide after-hours On-Call support

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

  • Prefer existing Public Trust Clearance

  • Must be US Citizen
