Core Knowledge & Skills: Designs complex network and hybridcloud solutions; implements security controls, DR/BCP, and automated IaC with deployment pipelines; performs advanced performance tuning. Work & Complexity: Solves complex issues, designs and delivers new infrastructure solutions, performs capacity planning, and leads advanced automation initiatives. Quality & Independence: Drives rootcause analysis, enforces best practices and QA on changes, optimizes for reliability and user experience; operates with high autonomy. Teamwork & Communication: Leads crossfunctional efforts, mentors juniors, facilitates knowledge transfer, and aligns stakeholders with technical plans. Consulting & Engagement: Provides strategic input on infrastructure initiatives, recommends advanced technologies, and manages vendor relationships.
As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Microsoft 365 Engineer - Intune & Endpoint Management.
Project Summary
AIS is seeking amid-level Microsoft 365 Engineerto support and enhance ourmodern endpoint management environmentwith a primary focus onMicrosoft Intune, Windows workstation device management, and Windows Autopilot for a federal contract. This roleis responsible forthe design, implementation, administration, and operational support of cloud-managed endpoints across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and supportMicrosoft Intunefor Windows endpoint management. Configure, deploy, andmaintainWindows Autopilotprofiles andprovisioningworkflows. Manage device compliance policies, configuration profiles, update rings, feature updates, and security baselines. Deploy,monitor, and troubleshoot software distribution through Intune, includingWin32 app packagingand application assignments. Support endpoint enrollment scenarios forAzure AD / Entra ID joinedand hybrid-joined devices where applicable. Maintain andoptimizeendpoint configuration standards for laptops, desktops, and other managed workstations. TroubleshootAutopilot pre-provisioning, enrollment status page (ESP), enrollment failures, policy conflicts, application deployment issues, and device compliance problems.
Required For This Opportunity
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3-6 yearsof IT engineering experience, with at least2+ years of hands-on Microsoft Intune administration. Experience implementing and supportingWindows Autopilotin an enterprise environment. Strong knowledge ofMicrosoft 365 endpoint managementconcepts and best practices. Experience managingWindows 10/11devices in a cloud-managed or co-managed environment.
Nice to Have Skills
Experience withMicrosoft Defender for Endpointintegration with Intune. Experience inco-managementenvironments withConfiguration Manager (SCCM/MECM). Familiarity withGroup Policy migrationto Intune / cloud-based management. Experience supportingConditional Accessand device-based access controls. Knowledge ofApple iOS/iPadOSand Android management in Intune is a plus. Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator AssociateCertification Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator ExpertCertification Azure / Entra-related certifications
At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $102,000-$154,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
