Our top financial client is seeking a leading organization operating in a highly regulated industry, dedicated to innovation and delivering secure, cutting-edge technology solutions. Our mission is to safeguard critical data and ensure robust digital infrastructure as we undergo a significant digital transformation.

Are you a seasoned network security expert passionate about building robust public cloud environments? We're seeking a visionary to join our team as a Network Security Architect and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital infrastructure. This is an incredible opportunity to directly influence the security posture of critical applications as we migrate them to the public cloud, ensuring compliance and safeguarding vital data. You will be instrumental in defining and implementing network security requirements, collaborating across teams to drive secure and compliant cloud adoption.

What You'll Do:

* Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to gather and analyze network security requirements, including connectivity, allowed ports, protocols, and data flows.

* Translate application requirements into detailed and actionable network security policies and firewall rules.

* Design and validate network security architecture in the public cloud, including effective use of security groups, network ACLs, and integration with advanced firewall policies.

* Work closely with the perimeter defense/security operations team to streamline firewall rule discovery, approval, and deployment processes.

* Document best practices and standards guiding cloud network security design, specifying when to use advanced firewall technologies versus native cloud controls.

* Contribute to discovery and planning phases for new migrations, ensuring all network security dependencies are captured.

* Support troubleshooting and optimization of existing cloud network security configurations.

What You'll Bring:

* 5+ years of experience in network security architecture or engineering, preferably with a focus on public cloud environments (experience with a major public cloud provider strongly preferred).

* Strong understanding of network security controls, including advanced firewall technologies (experience with specific enterprise firewall platforms highly desired), security groups, VPN, and layered defense models.

* Proven ability to translate application connectivity needs into firewall rule sets and network security designs.

* Familiarity with public cloud networking components (e.g., Virtual Private Clouds, Subnets, Route Tables, Transit Gateways).

* Experience working alongside application teams in a collaborative Agile or DevSecOps environment.

* Excellent communication skills, capable of documenting and presenting complex technical information clearly.

* Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

* Infrastructure and architecture background.

* Information security background, familiar with technology risk domains.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

* Public cloud certifications (e.g., Security Specialty, Solutions Architect).

* Experience with enterprise firewall policy management and automation tools.

* Background in financial services or highly regulated environments.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $99.69 to $110.77. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
