As a Security Officer Unarmed Site Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site personnel and/or public agency representatives as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that could help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying authorized entry when required, and reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Complete routine reports and activity logs, document incidents in a clear manner, and provide general assistance to individuals seeking directions, resources, and/or support services on site.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
