Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Credential Check in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site guidelines, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or misuse of the property.
  • Prepare clear, timely documentation of daily activities, incidents, and/or policy-related concerns, and communicate observations with appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
