Position Summary ISCO has an entry-level career opportunity for a Business Development Specialist to join our Team and company that has been voted one of the best places to work in Kentucky multiple times. The Business Development Specialist will work closely with our Business Managers to explore, identify, and qualify new customer prospects. Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic, flexibility, and a willingness to learn continuously about our products and applications. The ability to engage prospects/customers is essential. Upward advancement within the company is expected if the candidate applies themselves and wants to advance to other roles with ISCO. Essential Responsibilities Send a set number of outbound emails to prospects per day to build strong connections for Business Managers. Understand ISCO's value proposition and share it via email and minimal phone calls with potential customers. Initiate contact with potential customers by email or respond promptly to generated inquiries. Advance promising leads by connecting them with Business Managers and recording actions in CRM. Serve as the first contact for new business prospects and set next steps for each. Show initiative by developing new lead strategies and building your own contact list using ISCO tools. Support the sales team on outbound strategies and lead generation efforts. Engage prospects actively to generate leads and new sales opportunities. Position Requirements Detailed self-starter, positive attitude, and strong work ethic 1 year of experience in inside sales or prospecting preferred, but not required Proficient in CRM, Microsoft Office, and Excel. Excellent written and oral communication skills; prospecting experience via email or phone is a plus. Work independently and as part of our team at the Louisville, KY, headquarters.
