Coho Technology Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Specialist to support our quality assurance efforts in Fort Belvoir, VA. This on-site role is responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing, analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the software development lifecycle by identifying defects, improving testing processes, and helping deliver high-quality solutions to end users.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):



  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with system requirements and project objectives.
  • Perform thorough manual and automated testing to validate functionality, performance, and usability, ensuring software meets defined quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using established tools and processes; partner with development teams to drive timely resolution and successful retesting.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Analyze testing outcomes to identify trends and recommend enhancements to testing frameworks, tools, and overall QA processes.
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports on test results, defect status, and quality metrics to support informed decision-making by project leadership.


Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Education and Certifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.



  • Required Experience and Knowledge:

    • Proven experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
    • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
    • Experience creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
