The Role

The Senior Manager, Pharmacy Strategy & Business planning will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, business case development and cross-functional collaboration to advance key pharmacy business objectives. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement high-impact initiatives, measure success, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives. In addition to driving key projects, this role will also maintain an overall view of all of the pharmacy division's projects and maintaining a 3-5 year pipeline of strategic initiatives.

This leader will serve as a key advisor to the Director of Pharmacy Strategic Business Planning and Project Support and may assume additional projects as assigned.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Initiate and lead large scale pharmacy projects that support corporate priorities (e.g. new pharmacy vendor partnerships)
  • Develop comprehensive business cases, including financial modeling (in collaboration with Actuarial team), market analysis, and risk assessments, to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with internal partners including finance, ET, operations, product, marketing and clinical teams, etc to ensure seamless execution of strategic projects.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and standardized framework to measure initiative success and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure seamless hand-off to business areas post-implementation
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy affordability, member experience and operational efficiencies
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of existing and under assessment partnerships
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks
  • Prepare executive and board-level presentations and recommendations on data-driven insights
  • Support long-term business planning by assessing market opportunities and aligning initiatives with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with HMM Division business leaders to ensure pharmacy priorities align with divisional goals
  • Maintain a pipeline of key strategic initiatives and partnerships to ensure we continue to grow our pharmacy business and maintain affordability
  • Manage project support pipeline and identify pharmacy division capacity and resource allocation
  • Form relationships with all key leaders in Pharmacy, HMM and across the enterprise to facilitate communication and collect or provide early intelligence as appropriate
  • Provide support to the HMM business planning team to include monitoring key pharmacy metrics and initiatives
  • Advise and make recommendations to business leaders on key strategic, technical, and tactical decisions.
  • Influence stakeholders to accomplish goals

Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, abilities, and values):

  • Demonstrated ability with strategy, qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and presentation, including the ability to communicate appropriately across all levels of an organization including senior business leaders
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with clinical and non-clinical team members at all levels of the organization
  • Strong team and consensus-building skills with the ability to manage direct reports, cross-functional teams, and matrixed relationships and influence others outside chain of command
  • A track record in leading and delivering complex large-scale projects and partnerships, often managing a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated pattern of taking on ambiguous/new work requiring swift decision-making, autonomy, and sound judgment
  • Ability to foster a team environment committed to risk taking, change management, and creativity

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate Degree or master's degree preferred with experience in Healthcare
  • 5-7 years in health care business administrative / leadership experience with pharmacy background preferred

LocationHingham Time TypeFull time Salary Range: $126,270.00 - $154,330.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
