OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist to join an established, collaborative hospital-based anesthesiology group. This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician who is passionate about pediatric patients but values the breadth of a mixed adult/pediatric caseload - all within a predictable, lifestyle-friendly schedule.

Our group consists of 10 MD Anesthesiologists. We are a physician-only practice - there are no CRNAs. Every physician performs their own cases independently, giving you full clinical autonomy and direct patient ownership from pre-op through emergence. You will work alongside experienced, subspecialty-trained colleagues in a well-resourced hospital environment with strong administrative support.

CLINICAL SCOPE & CASE MIX

The position offers a varied and engaging procedural mix with an emphasis on outpatient surgery. Cases include:

  • ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat)
  • Gastrointestinal endoscopy and procedures
  • Dental / oral surgery
  • Urology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopedics and spine surgery

The following are explicitly outside the scope of this position:

  • No Emergency Department coverage
  • No Obstetric (OB) anesthesia
  • No cardiac anesthesia

Complex pediatric neurological and general surgery cases are managed by the pediatric subspecialty-trained Anesthesiologists within the group, ensuring every patient receives appropriately matched expertise.

PEDIATRIC ICU INVOLVEMENT

The practice supports a six-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). There is no adult ICU coverage requirement. This component of the role provides meaningful critical care involvement for those who value that engagement, without the burden of a full ICU service.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This position offers a highly competitive compensation package designed to reflect the expertise and commitment of the physician we are seeking.

  • Base Salary: Provided upon request
  • Production Bonus: Production-based bonus paid semi-annually (2 payments per year)
  • Medical Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement: Employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan
  • Malpractice: Paid malpractice insurance (occurrence or claims-made with tail)
  • CME / Dues: Paid CME allowance and professional dues
  • PTO: Paid time off and vacation allowance

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • MD or DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency
  • Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology (ABA)
  • Experience with or interest in pediatric anesthesia strongly preferred
  • Comfort with a diverse outpatient surgical caseload
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative team orientation
  • Active state medical license or eligibility to obtain
  • Pediatric subspecialty fellowship (e.g., pediatric anesthesia) is a plus but not required - complex pediatric cases are covered by fellowship-trained group members

WHY JOIN OUR TEAM

We recognize that great anesthesiologists have choices. Here is what sets this opportunity apart:

  • Exceptional work-life balance - no weekends or holidays; primary call is minimal and shared equally within the group
  • Physician-only group - 10 MD Anesthesiologists, no CRNAs; you perform your own cases with full clinical autonomy
  • Meaningful pediatric focus without the demands of a pediatric-only practice
  • Collaborative, subspecialty-supported group - complex cases handled by those trained to do them
  • Stable, hospital-based practice with strong administrative infrastructure
  • Competitive, transparent compensation with predictable bonus structure
  • No emergency room, no OB, no cardiac - a clearly defined and sustainable scope of practice
