You'll play a critical role in delivering quality control panels, improving processes, and leading a team that keeps our customers running. What You'll Do:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of panel shop technicians, assemblers, and leads
- Establish clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support employee growth and training
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance to meet production demands
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Oversee daily panel shop operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Plan and prioritize production schedules in alignment with customer deadlines and business needs
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and execution
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, and on-time delivery
- Ensure proper assembly and wiring of industrial control panels, junction boxes, and enclosures
- Verify work aligns with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Provide guidance on complex builds, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Ensure proper installation of components including PLCs, VFDs, relays, breakers, and power supplies
- Maintain compliance with UL, NEC, and customer-specific standards
- Implement and enforce quality control processes and inspections
- Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and testing of completed panels
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and adherence to all safety policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment
- Oversee inventory levels, materials, and tooling to support production needs
- Support budgeting efforts and cost control initiatives within the shop
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or electrical certification preferred
- 7+ years of experience in industrial control panel assembly or related field
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a shop or manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
- In-depth knowledge of industrial control components (PLCs, VFDs, relays, etc.)
- Solid understanding of electrical theory and panel design fundamentals
- Proven ability to manage workflows, priorities, and team performance
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work both hands-on and in a leadership capacity
