To enhance our execution from discovery to delivery ("lab-to-fab"), we are adding talented people to our team.

Our Production Technicians coordinate our chemical processes and perform production-related activities, utilizing their chemical manufacturing knowledge and experience to operate and resolve process issues in the plant in a safe and reliable manner. The Production Technician works in a team environment where collaboration and teamwork are critical to meeting the goals of the business.

Production Technicians work shift rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays. Air Liquide is Hiring for a Production Technician!

We are looking for YOU!

  • Pay: $29.522/hour
  • Bonus: 6% Annual
  • Travel: 0 - 5% based on business needs
  • Work schedule: 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shift, w/ On-Call

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Safely and skillfully operates assigned processes to meet the day-to-day quality, production, and productivity goals of ALAM.

  • Effectively prioritizes daily tasks working in alignment with Production Leads and Production Supervisors.

  • Participate in monthly safety meetings and foster a safe work environment for everyone.

  • Reviews and updates the Standard Operating Procedures to ensure clarity and safety.

  • Reviews and updates the Learning Resources to support team knowledge sharing.

  • Completes annual personal goals to achieve the plant goals and their own personal development goals.

  • Assembles and disassembles production equipment with precision.

  • Performs basic maintenance on equipment to ensure operational health.

  • Cultivates a culture of "Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time" with their actions and their words on a daily basis.

  • Issuer for safe work permits.

  • Successfully complete all assigned training.

  • Support peers through cross-training on approved functions.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • For safety purposes regarding equipment seals, success in this role requires remaining clean-shaven.

  • Ability to wear a full-face tight-fitting respirator and a fully encapsulated (Level A) ER suit, Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), or any other tight-fitting and/or supplied air respirators (SAR).

  • Ability to medically pass a respiratory test and physical test in order to wear a full-face respirator as required.

  • Fitness for duty, including but not limited to: ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders safely.

  • Ability to roll cylinders that weigh up to 200lbs-this involves tilting a cylinder slightly with one hand and using the other hand to guide it forward.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays) in Upper Mount Bethel, PA or Branchburg, NJ.

  • Demonstrated safety-first mindset and a positive, collaborative attitude.

  • Demonstrate ability to seek proper assistance and collaborate when confronted with problem situations.

  • Ability to learn technical chemical processes quickly in a dynamic, high-energy environment.

  • Ability to interact effectively with others to accomplish daily tasks and achieve the plant's goals.

  • Ability to communicate concisely and effectively in written and verbal formats with stakeholders at multiple levels in the business.

  • Ability to perform technical problem-solving to resolve process issues.

  • Proactive professional with the ability to calmly navigate evolving priorities.

  • Actively participate on ALAM's emergency response (ER) team including as an ER entry team member.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Applied Science in Processing Technology or other related science.

  • 2+ years of experience in a process operations environment.

  • 2+ years of chemical or other hazardous material handling experience is highly valued.

  • 2+ years of experience working on mechanical / electrical systems.

  • Experience with Nuclear, Electronics, or Mechanical training.

  • Understanding of analytical processes for chemical processing.

  • Knowledge of root cause investigation process and methodology.

  • Knowledge of 5S and Lean manufacturing principles.

  • Computer literate.
