LOGISTICS ANALYST

Kress is looking for a full time Logistics Analyst to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries.

The Logistics Analyst will manage the pick list release process, will handle shipment returns, mis-shipments, and claims. In addition, the Logistics Analyst will process discrepancies in our ERP system, Infor XA and will report all findings, updates, and details to the management team.

Responsibilities -
  • Ensures a safe working environment by following safety rules, common sense, and initiating safety audits where unsafe conditions are discovered
  • Reliably work all scheduled shifts to provide timeliness to operations
  • Release pick lists per the standard work
  • Manage all shipment returns, mis-shipments, and claims
  • Manage grief related to pick list aging (un-shipped) and the SHIP location (inaccurate) to ensure work is being completed correctly and timely
  • Assist with process improvement projects where needed
  • Liaise with Inventory Control where needed
  • Assist Logistic Specialists where needed
  • Follow company policies

Qualifications -
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years previous experience in a manufacturing environment or similar role is preferred
  • Prior shipment claims and Infor XA (ERP) experience preferred
  • Knowledge of HSN codes and freight classes
  • Comfortable working at a high-volume pace with extreme attention to detail
  • Diplomatic interactions with customers, freight forwarders, and carriers
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including OSHA standards, wearing appropriate PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed boots), and identifying safety hazards
