As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification steps, and security-related policies for a dynamic aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, review identification and authorization documents, issue visitor badges as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, production areas, and perimeter locations, noting suspicious activity, security-related concerns, and access control issues for reporting and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and visitor records, and support screening, escort, and checkpoint activities in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
