This role ensures

reliable, and compliant medical devices.

Key Tasks:

Quality by Design / Design Control Execution

  • Execute design assurance activities in compliance with FDA 21 CFR 820.30, ISO 13485, EU MDR, and other global regulations.
  • Support creation, organization, and maintenance of Design History File (DHF) and Medical Device File (MDF) documentation.
  • Develop and review clear, testable, and traceable design requirements derived from user needs, intended use, and risk analysis.
  • Ensure robust design input, design output, and design verification processes aligned with industry best practices.

Technical & Regulatory Subject Matter Support

  • Provide input on sampling plans, statistical methods, and V&V strategies.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, design reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Integrate ISO 14971 risk management requirements into design decisions, supporting hazard analyses, FMEAs, and mitigation documentation.
  • Support hardware, software, and system-level development with regulatory grade documentation.

Agile Development Quality Partnering

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and System Architects to ensure quality requirements are accurately represented in backlogs, epics, features, and stories.
  • Review incremental design deliverables within sprint cycles, ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain traceability, change control, and other design control elements within the Agile framework.

Design Change & Lifecycle Management

  • Support controlled updates to requirements, risk files, V&V documentation, and design outputs during design changes.
  • Contribute to post market design change activities, ensuring updates are compliant and appropriately documented.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supplier quality, and regulatory functions to ensure effective design transfer and lifecycle management.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve design assurance processes, templates, tools, and systems.
  • Share and promote best practices across global R&D teams.
  • Support initiatives to modernize design control and risk management processes.
