The Operations Finance Analyst is responsible for designing, managing, and enhancing Hilti North America's operations budgeting and steering processes. This role partners closely with finance and business leaders to deliver accurate, actionable financial insights that support data-driven decision-making and profitable growth. Through deep-dive analysis on strategic topics, performance tracking, and clear financial communication, the analyst helps translate financial results into operational impact while contributing to the advancement of Hilti's Global Finance strategy.


What You'll do
  • Regional owner/expert of key financial data process and reports for supported operations groups
  • Support FP&A team by being the first point of contact for issues and questions related to financial accounting of procurement related spend
  • Challenges and improves current financial analytical processes/models to improve business decisions and productivity
  • Explore deviations to the forecast by creating transparency on cause and effect and make recommendations on corrective actions, maintaining the respective tracking
  • Develop reporting dashboards in Excel, Power BI and SAC cloud analytics to measure key OPEX performance metrics
  • Accountable for effectively defining, planning, and implementing projects that achieve company objectives, productivity standards, and cost controls by understanding and defining cross functional requirements, documenting processes, training others, and being responsible for functional expertise, coaching, and mentoring
  • Assist Finance Manager and Director in developing and implementing performance criteria to match the operations group strategy
  • Project support and management of key operations initiatives
  • Train finance, procurement and reporting end users on how to access and utilize available reporting platforms
  • Assist the Operations Leadership team during on regular business reviews
  • Rolling Forecast and annual OPEX target setting support
  • Ad hoc finance analysis as needed
  • Month-end close analysis
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring
  • Master's degree in Business/Data Analytics, Finance, Business or Accounting
Or BS/BA in Business/Data Analytics, Finance, Business or Accounting and 3-5 years of relevant work experience in business reporting function.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, required
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and activities, required
  • Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, required
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Skilled with MS Office Suite; Excel and PowerPoint knowledge, preferred
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direction with a proactive approach to internal customers and suppliers
