General Summary
Under minimal supervision, supervise, direct, coordinate and oversee day to day Facility operations including: mail and incoming shipment processing, office safety and security, maintenance, repairs and improvement activities for CCRC Palmdale facility. The Supervisor will conduct performance appraisals, manage workflow, and coach staff. The Supervisor will make independent decisions relating to the completion of assigned tasks according to agency standards, policies, and procedures. Incumbent serves as property liaison between vendors and various program departments. Requires collaboration with all levels of management and leadership staff. Position requires fundamental repair/fix-it person experience for labor tasks including skills for a wide range of basic repairs.

This position may require nontraditional hours in order to respond to emergency situations.

Job Specifications

Minimum Required

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED).
  • Experience:
    • Relevant experience with management and supervisory techniques.
    • Relevant building maintenance skills and experience, such as painting and cleaning.
    • Must be familiar with the local area (i.e., San Fernando Valley streets and highways).
  • Technical Requirements - List specifics: Technical Requirements -
    • Basic proficiency level using Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Basic knowledge and experience using Zoom.
  • Behavioral:
    • Display effective communication skills while collaboratively working with adults and children.
    • Ability to demonstrate a supportive attitude towards families.
    • Experience with cooperative work.
    • Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
    • Ability to communicate with other Supervisors, Managers and Coordinators verbally and in writing including completing reports in a timely manner.
    • Can engage in collaborative team work environment and deliver accurate work product.
    • Ability to motivate employees, establish priorities, and organize work accordingly.
    • Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to make independent decisions and exercise judgement.
  • Travel: This position requires 50% of travel. Staff members driving on behalf of CCRC may choose to drive a CCRC vehicle or own vehicle and must meet requirements to be an approved driver including holding and maintaining current auto insurance, current California Driver's License and DMV clearance required.
  • Work Schedule: This position is full-time (40 hours per week) but may require working evenings or weekends on occasion.
  • Work environment: This position works on a hybrid schedule. Your office will be in our Headquarters location and will require you to come into the office twice a week.

    • Background check required. As a grant-funded Agency supporting Children and Family Services, CCRC conducts background checks commensurate with the role to verify candidate qualifications (criminal history, employment history / experience, education, reference checks) and ensure grant compliance. Specific roles may have additional verification / clearance to the standard background check as part of the recruitment and selection process, including:
    • Live Scan Clearance / DOJ Fingerprinting: For positions working directly with the public in a child/ community care or child / community care adjacent setting (CA Health and Safety Code Section 1596.871 and/or Head Start Program Performance Standards 1302.90).
    • Health Clearance: For positions working directly with the public in a child/ community care or child / community care adjacent setting or working with "at risk" populations, CA Code of Regulations Title 22, *101216, CA Health and Safety Code 1596.7995, and/or Head Start Program Performance Standards 1302.93)
    • MVR / DMV clearance in accordance with CCRC's liability insurance provisions: For positions where driving is required.
    • Child Development Permit: For positions working in an educational capacity (California Education Code Sections 44242.5, 44340, and 44341)
    • CPR / Pediatric CPR certification: For certain identified positions working directly with the public in a child/ community care or child / community care adjacent setting (CA Health & Safety Code 1596.865 - 1596.866)
    • Federal Debarment Checks: For positions acting in a principal capacity to federal funds (Head Start Program Performance Standards 1304.11, Code of Federal Regulations Title 2 Grants and Agreements 2.180.320 and 2.180.995)
