The Opportunity....

The Accountant position performs important areas of professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting less clearly-defined issues. This position is responsible for providing accounting guidance and support in developing, analyzing and maintaining the company's financial reporting systems in the following areas: General Ledger and Accounts Receivable Accounting.

You will make an impact by...

• Completing month-end processes in Finance and Controlling modules of SAP. Activities to include adjusting journal entries, accruals, payroll as needed/required, cost center review, project accounting, financial statement analysis, preparation of month end balancing and journal entries for affiliate trading partners.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
• Completing Intercompany Account Reconciliations and consolidation reporting.
• Preparing US and Canadian Sales Tax filings and account reconciliations.
• Preparing various ad hoc analyses and reports.
• Assisting with budget/forecast activities and annual financial audit preparations.
• Adhering to all relevant administrative requirements, policies and procedures and respect confidentiality of data.
• Maintaining and processing entries in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS and completes other related duties as assigned

The talent we want to inspire has...

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or similar degree and 4-6 years in a position as a staff accountant or combination of education and experience; years in a position as a staff accountant or equivalent
• Demonstrated a solid knowledge of principles in the field of accounting and successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures in the field of accounting and business.
• Strong reconciliation skills using only data and Excel
• Strong verbal and written skills along with good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong Excel skills
• SAP experience highly preferred
• Manufacturing and cost accounting experience a plus
