Newrez, one of the largest mortgage lenders and servicers in the U.S., is hiring Bilingual Performing Loan Consultants to support their high-volume call center in Tempe, AZ. Consultants will handle inbound and outbound calls with homeowners-many of whom prefer to communicate in Spanish-providing mortgage assistance and payment solutions. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role requiring professionalism, reliability, and strong bilingual communication skills. Responsibilities * Handle inbound and outbound calls in English and Spanish * Speak with homeowners who are past due on their mortgage and identify reasons for delinquency * Develop customized payment plans to help customers bring loans current * Assist inbound callers with mortgage servicing questions (payments, escrow, payoffs, website support) * Process mortgage payments accurately * Refer qualified customers to refinancing teams when appropriate * Document all customer interactions thoroughly and accurately * Meet performance, compliance, and attendance expectations * Represent Newrez professionally at all times Qualifications * Fluent in English and Spanish (required) * High school diploma or equivalent required (college degree preferred) * Customer service or call center experience preferred * Collections, mortgage, or financial services experience a plus * Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills * Comfortable using multiple systems and Microsoft Office * Ability to remain professional when handling sensitive or difficult conversations * Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required Why Newrez? * Work onsite with a nationally recognized mortgage servicer * Career growth and contract-to-hire opportunity * Structured training and ongoing support * Meaningful work helping homeowners navigate financial challenges Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
