Turner Surety & Insurance Brokerage, Inc. (TSIB) serves as the Claims Manager of record for Turner Construction and Flatiron Dragados. Construction risk is core to our platform. We integrate brokerage expertise, construction operations insight, and senior-level claims leadership to protect project economics and enterprise value across highly sophisticated builders risk programs.
We are seeking a senior-level Builders Risk Claims Director to serve as the Builders Risk Claims Leader for Turner. This individual will hold enterprise-wide authority for Builders Risk claims across Turner's national portfolio and will direct the strategy, carrier engagement, and resolution of the company's most complex and highest exposure property losses.
This role carries executive visibility and direct impact on recovery outcomes, reserving alignment, and program strategy across catastrophic and multi-layer builders risk placements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Enterprise Builders Risk Authority
Strategic Claim Leadership
Direct claims from first notice through resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
Evaluate physical damage, causation, delay, quantum, and contractual interplay to position claims for optimal recovery.
Direct external experts including engineers, forensic accountants, scheduling specialists, and coverage counsel.
Advanced Coverage & Market Expertise
Provide authoritative interpretation of complex Builders Risk policies, including manuscript forms, quota-share structures, and layered domestic and London market placements.
Lead strategic positioning on disputes involving LEG exclusions, defective design, ensuing loss, sublimits, and delay in completion coverage.
