Our Talent & Culture Specialist supports the development and execution of programs that strengthen our culture, enhance the employee experience, and build leadership bench strength. They help bring our values to life through engagement initiatives and partnership with HR and business leaders. This Talent & Culture Specialist uses data and insights to continuously improve talent and engagement strategies.

Salary Range

65,000-80,000

The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Hybrid Work Location



  • This position will be hybrid, having the regional availability to come into our Office 2 days a week. Our office location: WPS Corporate Center Building - 1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI, 53713.

  • Would like to coordinate the SPARK Awards program, including planning, communications, and execution.
  • Could administer the annual Culture and Engagement survey, including communications, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Enjoy partnering with Human Resource Business Partners and leaders to support action planning efforts based on engagement results.
  • Would like administering our employee recognition platform, including vendor coordination, budget tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Thrive writing internal communications related to culture, talent and engagement initiatives.
  • Can coordinate and send the monthly Engagement Newsletter.
  • Want to track and report on engagement and talent metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Like to collaborate across HR and business teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of culture and engagement activities.
  • Have supported talent management activities, including succession planning, talent reviews, performance management, mentoring programs, development planning and competencies.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 or more years in culture, employee engagement, change management, talent, internal communications or related field.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing internal communication plans and engagement strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis using Excel.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience working with cross-function teams including senior executives, HRBP's and community partners.
  • Ability to drive measurable impact in employee engagement.
