Material Handler

Momentive Technologies Material Handler is responsible physical and transaction material movements throughout the warehouse area. Additionally, the Material Handler will load and unload trailers, perform inspections on those trailers, identify inefficiencies and make recommendations as well as report any issues to the Logistics Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for inspecting inbound shipments and unloading trailers.
  • Load material for outbound shipments.
  • Pick and prepare materials for outbound shipments.
  • As required, perform container inspections and load containers.
  • Interact with logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
  • Generate and enter inventory documents (S4 Hana).
  • Operate a straight truck for material movements between sites.
  • Communicate with carriers.
  • Report progress/issues directly to the Logistics Supervisor.
  • Participate in the cycle count and annual physical inventory.

Basic Qualifications:

  • GED or Highschool Diploma
  • 2-4 years of Logistics Experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient communication both written and verbal with supervisor, peers, local teams
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license

Key Relationships:

  • Commercial Team, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing.

Travel Requirements:

  • None

Working Conditions:

  • 1st Shift
  • PPE - Steel Toe, Safety Glasses, Gloves (as needed)
  • No hazardous material handling (site dependent)
