Job Summary

The Temporary Licensing Coordinator will be a member of the Revenue and Philanthropy department and reports to the Senior Director of North America Licensing Hardlines and directly supports this division with all product development, marketing approvals, deal memo execution and as required emerging lines of business for this team. This opportunity will run for 3 months (July 20th - October 2nd, 2026) to cover a temporary leave of absence.

Responsibilities

  • This role provides business support, coordination and will attend line reviews and product development meetings with creative resources and licensees on a regular basis
  • Responsible for helping with creative management of licenses, process product approval submissions and traffic forms to creative resources, business managers and licensees
  • Ensure product development is within contractual rights under management approval and supervision, and develop and maintain licensees' files for all product submissions
  • Create and maintain product bibles for all licensees including line lists, product photos and catalogs
  • Assist in the maintenance of sample stockroom and inventory for all licensees, including archiving of samples. Includes interfacing with the licensee on current sample requirements
  • Assist in requesting, collecting and organizing line lists, sell-in & sell-thru data, retail updates, marketing & merchandising plans, etc.
  • Coordinate business reviews, line reviews and product development meetings with licensees and creative resources on a regular basis, and attend when necessary
  • Assist in researching potential new partners and staying apprised of competitive and marketplace trends
  • Coordinate and gather quarterly forecasts from licensees and organize financial data
  • Assists in preparing decks, one-sheets and pitches for various internal and external meetings
  • Coordinate materials for trade shows, advertising, events and line reviews
  • Assist with business management tasks for additional key licensees, including but not limited to, licensee performance analysis, minute preparation, deal memo preparation, meeting coordination, etc.
  • Work closely with internal teams' optimization of the division with Sales Force

Required Qualifications

  • B.A/B.S College Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in licensing - character / entertainment licensing experience preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment
  • Experience in product development and product orchestration
  • Attention to details with great organizational skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, prioritize and problem solve
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with a strong sense of ownership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in licensing of educational/entertainment brands

This position is based at our headquarters office in New York (Manhattan) at 1900 Broadway, New York, NY, and follows a hybrid work model. In-office requirements vary by role and employee group, and currently range from two to five designated in-office days per week.
