This role is dedicated to supporting the unique needs of the JSOM Undergraduate Programs. The ideal candidate will focus exclusively on this audience, creating and organizing meaningful networking and career opportunities with employers eager to hire talented Undergraduate students. This position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment that emphasizes external networking and relationship-building.
Reporting to the Assistant Dean of the Career Management Center, this position is physically located within the JSOM Career Management Center, providing close collaboration with the team and direct impact on student career success.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field; 5-7 years related professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Five years of experience in corporate management or human resource management.

  • MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a corporate, HR, or recruiting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of career development, career counseling, job search strategies, and current job market trends.
  • Experience with employer relations, contemporary recruitment methodologies, and trends in career services.

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Expand the number of companies participating in UT Dallas Undergraduate hiring programs, creating and ranking company lists.
  • Manage the CMC's monthly, semester, and yearly KPIs and metrics, including salary and placement data for Undergraduate students.
  • Drive growth in the companies hiring Undergraduate students.
  • Collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Career Development and Career Development Specialists.
  • Develop, oversee, and execute workshops, coffee chats, industry panels, lunch-and-learns, site visits, and professional events for Undergraduate students each semester.
  • Understand employer needs and actively seek internship and full-time opportunities for Undergraduate students.
  • Build, develop, and maintain relationships with hiring companies.
  • Engage in employer outreach through calls and meetings.
  • Share student resumes with employers.
  • Deliver events that educate groups on industry information, job search strategies, and professionalism.
  • Provide full engagement and support to the Undergraduate Programs Office.
  • Track student placement percentages and salaries, comparing results with previous years and professional survey targets.
  • Collaborate with the Undergraduate Programs Office to identify employer opportunities, ensure students are aware of offerings, and guide CMC staff in directing students appropriately.
  • Influence and guide students as needed.
  • Assist students in refining resumes, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, target company lists, and career timelines.
  • Help students determine career direction based on goals, marketability, and current job market trends.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum to educate groups on industry insights, job search techniques, and professional skills.
