TITLE: Converting Operator A

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The employee has the authority to assist operators in the setting up of machines. The (laminate assigned) utility worker has the authority to set up laminate material, change rolls and make knife adjustments. The (slitter assigned) utility worker has the authority to set up blades for product slitting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Legal eligibility to work in the US
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic math skills and some mechanical abilities
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean, inspect, and stack the product according to standard or customer requirements. Examples include, but are not limited to, cleaning the work area, checking product
• dimensions, checking die cut quality, cleaning die cut holes, etc.
• Package materials according to Inteplast Standards of packaging.
• Hand trim laminate.
• Weld boxes.
• Sort material as needed.
• Install and uninstall dies on die cutter workstations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

• Will be working in the heat during the summer months & cold during the winter months. This is a warehouse environment.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Ability to stand, walk, and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period. The position requires walking up to 8 hours per work shift.
• Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 30 lbs) (frequently)
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and or legs.
• Must be able to reach and lift above shoulders (frequently)

VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Vision to read and clearly observe
