Job Description




As a Security Officer Access Point Coordinator in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor access points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this access control role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while supporting daily operations. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, processing visitor entry and exit, maintaining required logs, and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and location protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.
  • Communicate with employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors regarding entry requirements, restricted areas, and site rules while supporting orderly movement throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
