Job Description




As a Security Officer Building Patrol in Owings Mills, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this dynamic role, you will support tenants, visitors, and property staff through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a welcoming and professional environment.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, loading areas, and other common spaces, assisting with access control, visitor interactions, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or property-related issues observed during patrols.
  • Support daily operations by following post orders, preparing reports, and providing visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptions and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
