Job Summary

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team of professionals.

Duties include:

  • Leads end-to-end project management for complex, cross-functional initiatives aligned with the strategic goals of the College of Medicine and affiliated partners, overseeing day-to-day project execution, task management, progress tracking, and team accountability to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive project plans, schedules, resources and budgets; ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Maintains and continuously optimizes Smartsheet solutions, including the creation and management of project plans, timelines, automations, and performance reports to monitor progress and key performance indicators.
  • Provides strategic guidance and consults with senior leadership to align project outcomes with the long-term goals of the College of Medicine and its affiliated health system partners.
  • Evaluates current processes to identify inefficiencies and recommends improvements to operations and enhance efficiency, including the development and refinement of project workflows and process, maps, SOPs and visual workflows using Lucidchart or similar tools to standardize operations.
  • Communicates project status, issues and risks to relevant stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination with various departments to ensure timely task completion.
  • Leads and oversees multiple concurrent projects across multiple departments, ensuring prioritization, coordination, and successful execution of deliverables.
  • Prepares and maintains comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, progress documentation, and meeting minutes.
  • Conducts regular reviews of project processes and proposes improvements, generating and presenting project performance reports to stakeholders with key metrics and improvement areas.
  • Adheres to university policies and procedures.
  • Provides leadership continuity by representing projects and initiatives in leadership forums and stakeholder meetings as needed.
  • Oversees multiple concurrent projects across departments, monitoring performance, managing risks, and communicating status, issues, and key updates to stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Performs other related duties as required. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field with four (4) years of project and/or management experience.



Desired Qualifications

Advanced experience with Smartsheet (or similar tools like Asana, Monday.com, or Jira)

Experience working with or in medical schools, teaching hospitals, or health system affiliates

Strong experience with workflow/process mapping tools like Lucidchart.
