About the Team

You will join a collaborative team of commercial risk professionals dedicated to safeguarding our business and clients. Our team works closely with business leaders, internal subject matter experts, and external partners to proactively manage risk and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What you'll own as the Commercial Risk Analyst

As a Commercial Risk Analyst II, you'll play a critical role at the forefront of payments innovation, supporting the world's largest FinTech company. Leveraging your analytical and project management skills, you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify, assess, and manage commercial risks across high-risk verticals, products, and models.

You will help shape the commercial risk appetite, facilitatenew business initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in risk mitigation strategies to support business growth and protect the organization.

  • Execute strategic objectives of the commercial risk management program, including conducting risk reviews, managing exception requests, and coordinating risk response activities.
  • Partner with business owners and stakeholders to review significant risk opportunities, analyze key risks, and recommend actionable mitigants to prevent harm to the organization.
  • Perform risk reviews across commercial domains such as high-risk verticals, products, and models, identifying control gaps, process efficiencies, and emerging risks.
  • Document and maintain commercial risk appetite statements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Lead and support commercial risk mitigation projects, facilitating effective stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
  • Evaluate and enhance risk controls, driving continuous improvement and supporting business decision-making.
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to commercial risk in payments.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in a risk or compliance role, preferably within the payments or financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in risk reviews, stakeholder management, and project delivery in high-risk business environments.
  • Experience managing project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration is highly valued.
  • Passion for continuous learning and process improvement, embracing new technologies and ways of working.

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, CPP, CISSP, CISA, or relevant risk management credentials.
  • Experience with risk management in global payments or fintech.
  • Experience working with complex, large data structures.
  • Advanced skills in organizational communication and stakeholder engagement.
