This is a temporary appointment expected to last approximately six months. The role requires on-site work four days per week in San Francisco (campus location TBD), with one remote workday. TEP employees are eligible for optional medical benefits, holiday pay, and sick leave accrual.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and agile Labor & Employee Relations (LER) Representative 2 to provide critical administrative and analytical support in a dynamic and high-impact environment. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly synthesize information, manage large volumes of data, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

The incumbent will play a key role in supporting complex labor and employee relations matters by organizing case materials, analyzing and tracking data, coordinating communications, scheduling, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple priorities.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

  • Provide advanced administrative and analytical support to LER leadership and staff on sensitive and complex employee relations matters
  • Manage, track, and analyze large volumes of case data using Excel and other systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting
  • Maintain and organize confidential case files, ensuring data integrity and compliance with recordkeeping requirements
  • Coordinate meetings, communications with internal stakeholders, and external partners
  • Track multiple deadlines and competing priorities, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of labor matters
  • Develop, maintain, and improve tracking tools, reports, and databases to support operational efficiency
  • Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, reports, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy
  • Serve as a professional point of contact, delivering responsive and high-quality customer service in a high-volume environment
  • Support policy, procedure, and compliance-related administrative processes
  • Strong administrative and analytical experience in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., data tracking, pivot tables, formulas, analytics & insights, data validation), Word and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, maintain accuracy, and produce clear, actionable information
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot quickly and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Tableau and database experience a plus.
