This position functions as a member of a clinical team in the provision of health care in a thriving college health center.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

To qualify as a Physician Assistant: Graduation and/or completion of an educational program for Physician Assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and an active Physician Assistant License issued by the North Carolina Medical Board ( NCMB).

OR

To qualify as a Nurse Practitioner: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing, completion of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the North Carolina Joint Subcommittee of the Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners, and "approved to practice medical acts" by the Joint Subcommittee.

Physician Assistant Candidates: Graduation and/or completion of an educational program for Physician Assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and an active Physician Assistant License issued by the North Carolina Medical Board ( NCMB).

The mission of the Abrons Student Health Center ( SHC) is to provide student centered affordable, quality health and preventive services to the students of UNCW. The SHC provides comprehensive medical services and a retail pharmacy, all with a focus on student success and patient education.
