The Manager, Disease Prevention & Management, provides strategic and operational leadership for a multidisciplinary team of health and well-being specialists - including a Program Manager, Health Coaches, Fitness Instructors, and Registered Nurses - focused on advancing disease prevention and management efforts for our clients. This role ensures the delivery of evidence-based programs that improve physical health outcomes for both external and internal employee populations. The Manager oversees program design, implementation, and evaluation to ensure initiatives are data-driven, outcome-focused, and aligned with organizational and client strategic goals. Responsibilities:

The Manager, Disease Prevention & Management provides strategic and operational leadership for a multidisciplinary team of health and well-being specialists - including a Program Manager, Health Coaches, Fitness Instructors, and Registered Nurses - focused on advancing disease prevention and management efforts for our clients. This role ensures the delivery of evidence-based programs that improve physical health outcomes for both external and internal employee populations. The Manager oversees program design, implementation, and evaluation to ensure initiatives are data-driven, outcome-focused, and aligned with organizational and client strategic goals.

Additional Key Responsibilities
  • Strengthen relationships with community partners to expand program reach and impact.

  • Monitor emerging public health trends and integrate evidencebased practices into program design.

  • Support budget planning and resource allocation for wellbeing and prevention initiatives.

  • Ensure all programs meet regulatory, compliance, and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote wellbeing initiatives and increase participation.

  • Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, and professional forums.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Guide the development of participant education materials and healthpromotion resources.

  • Support evaluation of vendor performance and recommend improvements or alternatives.

  • Maintain strong documentation practices to support audits, reporting, and program transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition, Health Promotion, Health Education, or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in health promotion or wellbeing program management, including staff supervision
  • Proven ability to manage scheduling, caseloads, and align staff strengths with program needs
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and projectmanagement skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with all levels of leadership
  • Knowledge of health coaching principles, CDC Diabetes Prevention Program, and evidencebased wellbeing practices
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, delegate, and lead highperforming teams
  • Strong understanding of wellbeing industry trends, program evaluation, and best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and wellbeingrelated information systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Health Education, or related field
  • Health Coach Certification and training in Motivational Interviewing
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred
  • Experience supporting RFP processes for wellbeing program service providers
