Description Job Summary Our client is seeking a senior Solutions Architect / Delivery Lead (Consultant) to step into a critical architecture and technical leadership role on a largescale, enterprise modernization initiative. This consultant will provide endtoend architectural ownership, delivery leadership, and operational support across a complex, highly regulated technology environment. This role blends enterprise solution architecture, handson delivery leadership, and technical incident management. The consultant will work closely with engineering, data, security, infrastructure, and leadership teams to stabilize delivery, support knowledge transfer, guide architectural decisions, and oversee critical initiatives including data migration and system integrations. This is not a documentationonly architecture role. The ideal candidate is decisive, handson, and comfortable leading in ambiguous, highimpact situations. Key Responsibilities Solutions Architecture & Technical Leadership Serve as the primary Solutions Architect embedded with delivery teams Own and maintain endtoend architectural understanding, including: Application services and APIs Integration patterns and data flows Middleware and messaging layers Infrastructure, networking, firewall, and security dependencies Review and guide architectural decisions across multiple teams Provide enterpriselevel perspective while remaining deliveryfocused Delivery Leadership & Incident Management Act as a technical delivery lead supporting execution, prioritization, and risk management Lead or actively support incident calls, escalations, and complex production issues Provide calm, decisive leadership during outages or delivery interruptions Partner closely with senior engineers and technical leads to unblock dependencies Knowledge Transfer & Operational Readiness Lead knowledgetransfer efforts from existing technical owners Participate in Q&A sessions to capture institutional knowledge Review, refine, and establish runbooks, architectural documentation, and operational guides Identify gaps in system understanding and proactively address them Data & Migration Oversight Provide architectural oversight for largescale data migrations and data dumps Validate migration strategies, cutover plans, and rollback approaches Collaborate with data, QA, and application teams to ensure safe execution Technology Environment (Current Stack) This role operates within a modern, enterprise technology stack that includes: Core Application Stack Microsoft Azure C# / .NET (current versions with planned upgrades) Angular (enterprise frontend framework) SQL Server (multiple versions, active upgrades underway) Integration & Platform APIdriven architecture MuleSoft (enterprise integration platform) Lowcode / workflow platforms (e.g., K2) Delivery & Tooling Azure DevOps (ADO) for CI/CD, backlog management, and delivery tracking Agile / hybrid delivery model (Scrum, Kanban, scaled delivery) QA & Validation (Partnered Teams) Playwright + TypeScript for automation Manual and automated regression validation API and datalevel testing Infrastructure & Security Awareness Enterprise networking concepts Firewalls, access controls, and secure integration patterns Regulated, auditconscious environment Skills .net, C#, Sql, Asp.net, agile, azure devops, Javascript, ci/cd, Azure, Enterprise architecture, Solution architecture, incident management, data migration, Java, Full stack, Sql server, Angular, typescript, technical leadership, etl, big data, Architecture, Security architecture, api Top Skills Details .net,C#,Sql,Asp.net,agile,azure devops,Javascript,ci/cd,Azure,Enterprise architecture,Solution architecture,incident management,data migration Additional Skills & Qualifications Required Qualifications 8-12+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Technical Delivery Leadership Proven experience operating as a handson Solutions Architect in complex enterprise systems Background in financial services or highly regulated environments Demonstrated ability to: Lead architecture and delivery simultaneously Operate during incidents and highpressure escalations Navigate incomplete documentation and evolving requirements Strong understanding of: Distributed systems and integrations APIbased architectures Data migration and integrity Enterprise infrastructure and security concepts Excellent communication skills with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders Nice to Have Experience acting as an Enterprise Architect standin Prior stabilization or transition engagements Azurecentric architecture leadership Experience rebuilding documentation and operational maturity midproject Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westerville, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85.00 - $115.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
