The Fleet Transactions Consultant supports the Fleet Transactions Team by managing all aspects of new aircraft acquisition and aircraft retirement in alignment with Southwest's longterm financial and operational strategy. They'll serve as a trusted advisor to Senior Leaders on aircraft purchases, lease negotiations, and transaction execution. They'll develop and deliver capital expenditure forecasts, lease payment modeling, and technical analysis to support informed, datadriven fleet decisions. The Fleet Transactions Consultant plays a key role in maximizing fleet value and minimizing financial and operational risk through strong analytical insight and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities
Analyzes and reviews fleet strategy decisions for retirement and lease return requirement implications, includes Identify and justify negotiation alternatives to maximize negotiated outcomes and value capture for aircraft acquisitions, lease returns, aircraft sales, and other agreements as directed by Leadership Represent Southwest Airlines in interactions with Lessors related to technical requests including annual audits and physical inspections Manage the process to execute new aircraft payments, lease payments, and other financial transactions including creation and maintenance payment transaction data in SAP. Develop and maintain financial forecasts and reporting including capital expenditure forecasts, aircraft encumbrances, and status of leased aircraft/engine assets Ensures systems used by the Team (e.g., SAP Treasury module, Tririga, Aircraft database in QuickBase) are properly updated and maintained. Represent the Fleet Transactions Team in Airworthiness Directive, Aircraft Maintenance Planning and Engine Planning meetings to provide direction on leased/retiring assets Identify and coordinate the provision of appropriate aircraft records and report to aircraft lessors/buyers/consignees Monitor industry trends and market appraisals to develop insights that support aircraft leasing and disposition strategies Train and assist other members of the Team in the proper execution/use of processes, procedures, and systems utilized by the department. May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of contractual principles and practices Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data Skilled in completing analyses on multiple, complex scenarios and to develop and support recommendations to Senior Leadership based on this analysis Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing, and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information Skilled in communication with a variety of settings and with cross functional teams and various position levels Ability to complete complex financial forecasts including Capital Expenditure requirements Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks of varying priorities and ensure all deadlines are met in accordance with the expectations and timelines of project Stakeholders Ability to work collaboratively with Leaders, other Team Members, and other Departments
Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from limited space workstation/desk/office area for extended periods of time Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 Must be at least 18 years of age Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information Must have the flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, and Company holidays Must be able to travel extensively, domestically and internationally, including multi-day stays
Pay & Benefits Competitive market salary from $103,750 - $115,300 per year* depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunity for future pay increases based on performance and market movement.
