We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our night shift production. General Purpose:

To provide timely and accurate analytical testing data to the production departments.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Perform sampling of raw materials and in-process and finished products
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
  • Wash lab utensils and glassware
  • Prepare and stock reagents and media
  • Maintain monitoring records of all lab analytical testing
  • Report non-compliant laboratory testing results
  • Receive, stock and inventory lab supplies and reagents
  • Perform chemical, physical and microbiological testing or raw materials, in process and finished products
  • Maintain laboratory reports in a timely, accurate and legible manner
  • Maintain the laboratory and associated areas in an orderly and clean manner
  • Follow all plant and corporate policies
  • Adhere to all DFA Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Report plant conditions that may result in non-compliance with standards and specifications
  • Other duties as assigned by the Lab / QC Supervisor



Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience:



  • 1 year of food manufacturing experience, preferably in a laboratory or quality assurance function
  • Prefer some college science and math courses or an associate degree


Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



  • Basic working knowledge of personal computers
  • Understanding of basic math
