Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant, supporting the Test Operations and Sustainment contract, at Arnold Engineering Development Complex at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. This Administrative Assistant will be supporting an integrated team responsible for providing the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts in our Flight Branch.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will exhibit a strong level of initiative and ability to work independently in performing needed administrative tasks in support of our Engineering Functional Management team and the Engineering Intern/Co-op Program. The ideal candidate will be organized, demonstrate an understanding of "need-to-know" and practice discretion at all times, demonstrating flexibility in being able to adjust to meet changing requirements and demands to execute the mission.

Job Duties:

    Support personnel assigned to the organization, including scheduling meetings, taking messages, and coordinating travel arrangements as needed. At times, arranging catering and logistics could be required
  • Composes and distributes correspondence using standard word processing systems or other software applications with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. Keeps abreast of key issues, commitments, and priorities of management
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and other tracking systems to support branch operations
  • Researches information and compiles briefing charts, summary reports and other materials as requested
  • Maintains office supplies and other supplies required ensuring availability when needed.
  • Develops and guides the implementation of procedures and of filing and record-keeping systems, including performing data entry and records management function
  • Develop workflow charts to demonstrate and improve work processes
  • Support personnel on-boarding and workstation equipment requests for the branch
  • Coordinate with interview candidates, Visitor's Center, and managers to arrange for credentialing required for on site interviews
  • Support development of metrics to improve workflow, efficiency, and staffing
  • Maintain electronic tools, dashboards, and Microsoft Teams to facilitate communication and information sharing
  • Determines action on important or emergency matters or knows whom to contact in absence of manager.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
  • Perform other duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of six years of applicable experience or any equivalent combination of applicable education and experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network
  • Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills, initiative, flexibility, attention to detail and ability to maintain discretion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills demonstrating professionalism, both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency beyond basic data entry in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ability to obtain a BNH purchasing card

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount BNH is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time jobs will be adjusted based upon the number of hours agreed to work.

$26.00 - $30.00 / hour at Arnold AFB, TN
