The Opportunity:

Support inventory management and retail marketing execution for four Mattel Toy Store locations, generating $17M in annual sales. Responsible for coordinating inventory accuracy, promotional activities, reporting, and cross-functional communication to support sales goals, operational efficiency, and customer experience initiatives.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Inventory Coordination (40%)

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels across four retail locations.
  • Track sales, transfers, receiving, and inventory adjustments to ensure data accuracy.
  • Assist with open-to-buy tracking, inventory flow, and stock allocation.
  • Support cycle counts, reconciliation, and physical inventory processes.
  • Identify slow-moving, aging, or low-stock items and communicate recommendations.
  • Maintain inventory reports, including on-hand, shrinkage, adjustments, and sales trends.
  • Support inventory management for special events, charitable sales, resale orders, and promotions.::
  • Ensure compliance with corporate inventory control guidelines and procedures.

Sales & Promotions Support (35%)

  • Assist in developing and maintaining the annual promotional calendar.
  • Coordinate execution of in-store promotions, discounts, product launches, and special events.
  • Support marketing campaigns, including print, email, social media, and website updates.
  • Partner with Mattel's Children's Foundation to support charitable events and initiatives.
  • Manage weekly updates to promotional tools, pricing, and signage.
  • Support new product launches with inventory readiness and early performance tracking.
  • Assist in visual merchandising initiatives and test-and-learn retail programs.
  • Ensure brand consistency and alignment with Mattel's marketing standards.

Reporting & Financial Support (25%)

  • Compile weekly, monthly, and annual sales and performance reports.
  • Track promotional lift and sales by activity to support ROI analysis.
  • Support marketing and inventory budget tracking.
  • Monitor inventory turnover, margin performance, and stock-to-sales ratios.
  • Assist in daily sales reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Provide data insights to support forecasting and business planning.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2-4 years of experience in retail operations, inventory coordination, or marketing support.
  • Experience working with POS systems and inventory management software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
