Missionforce is Salesforce's dedicated business unit revolutionizing U.S. national security operations across defense, intelligence, and aerospace agencies with AI-powered workflows.

We are seeking a highly accomplished Sr. Manager or Director of Operations to join our elite Missionforce team. This is a high-impact position, supporting our Customer Success Group in bringing the best of commercial technology to life for mission-critical work across the U.S. Department of War, Intelligence Community (IC), and Aerospace & Allied Nations. The Sr. Manager/Director of Operations will bring operational rigor to running the business and supporting growth and transformation initiatives in a dynamic, high growth business segment. This role will manage key aspects of the business, drive internal and external cross-functional coordination, and communicate and execute critical business initiatives across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison and coordinator across cross-functional projects to ensure that all initiatives align with broader organizational goals.

  • Develop detailed program plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, to drive accountability for timely and high-quality execution.

  • Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate complex cross-program risks and dependencies that span multiple teams, ensuring clear communication of impact and resolution paths.

  • Strategic Planning & Executive Support: Manage rhythm of business, executive communications, and key global initiatives

  • Develop and present status reports, risk assessments, and technical recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive steering committees.

Basic Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience managing complex project implementations or leading successful Agile development teams (5+ years in a significant people leadership role directly managing and mentoring high-performing teams for Director)

  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of stakeholder engagement and executive-level communication, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and influence leaders without formal authority.

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to drive process improvements

  • Agility and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

  • Foundation in the Salesforce platform, ideally backed by Salesforce certifications, to demonstrate your technical investment and capability to understand the ecosystem.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) living on U.S. soil who does not hold dual citizenship with the ability to meet customer and government screening standards applicable to this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior consulting experience, as external client environments demand exceptional soft skills and relationship-building capabilities.

  • Experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or Federal Civilian agencies.

  • Background in defense/aerospace industries or operational military/logistics experience.

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, which provides an excellent foundation for managing hybrid Agile and waterfall approaches.

  • Understanding of the SaaS business model and complex B2B sales processes.

This candidate must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) who does not hold dual citizenship and agrees to complete a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position.

The typical base salary range for this position is $143,400 - $261,500 annually.
