Position Summary:

We are seeking a Project Finance Associate to join our Dallas-based Corporate Finance team, supporting a growing portfolio of infrastructure and energy investments. The position will own day-to-day management of project financing, including lender and tax equity reporting, compliance deliverables, and ongoing covenant monitoring. The role will also support fundings, term conversions, and other capital events-coordinating across internal teams and external counterparties, managing conditions precedent, and overseeing funding flows.

This position provides significant analytical and execution responsibilities, including maintaining financial models, tracking performance against expectations, and driving portfolio insights. The Associate will be expected to leverage AI and automation tools to enhance efficiency, streamline reporting, and support deeper analytical capabilities across the portfolio.

The role partners closely across Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Asset Management, and contributes to process improvements as the company expands. This is a high-impact position with clear ownership and visibility, ideal for a candidate looking to deepen project finance expertise while driving smarter, technology-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management & Reporting



  • Manage lender and tax equity reporting (monthly/quarterly/ad hoc)
  • Prepare compliance certificates, DSCR, and liquidity calculations
  • Monitor covenant compliance across project and HoldCo financings


Fundings, Term Conversions & CP Management



  • Support sponsor commitment fundings, term conversions, and financing events
  • Track and manage CP requirements across facilities
  • Coordinate with lenders, tax equity, advisors, and internal teams
  • Review sources & uses, and funding flows


Post-Close Integration



  • Lead structured post-close project transitions
  • Document key financing assumptions and reporting obligations
  • Improve processes to reduce post-close execution risk


Financial Modeling & Analytics



  • Build and maintain project finance models (debt, tax equity, waterfalls)
  • Maintain HLBV tracking and capital account reconciliations
  • Analyze funding mechanics and variance to actuals


Cross-Functional Coordination



  • Partner across Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Asset teams
  • Support and review analyst work
  • Enhance reporting and portfolio analytics processes


Required Experience:



  • 5+ years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, portfolio management, or renewable energy finance
  • Strong understanding of structured finance, project finance, debt, and tax equity structures (renewables experience preferred)
  • Experience supporting sponsor commitment fundings, term conversions, and complex financing events
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills (cash waterfalls, debt sizing, scenario analysis)
  • Familiarity with financing agreements, CP requirements, and reporting frameworks
  • Experience leveraging AI to enhance work product and productivity
