Cost Estimator to work at 191 Rosa Parks Street, Floor 10, Cincinnati, OH 45202, and various unanticipated worksites in the U.S.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Develop detailed cost estimates covering equipment, bulk materials, fabrication, labor, and both direct and indirect costs. Assess procurement pricing for equipment and materials, evaluate subcontractor bids, and participate in vendor and contractor negotiations as needed. Assess and compare estimate plans against historical project data to define key deliverables and timelines. Develop and maintain estimate benchmarks and performance metrics. Conduct comprehensive estimate reviews to validate accuracy and completeness. Prepare detailed estimate basis documents, conduct estimate reviews, and provide risk analysis with contingency recommendations. Perform quantity take-offs from engineering deliverables, drawings, and data to develop accurate estimate specifications. Lead estimate kickoff meetings, site walk-downs, and quote review sessions to ensure alignment with project scope and requirements. Roving employment; position may be located at client sites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting from home office is permitted per company's telecommuting policy.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent degree based on combination of education and/or experience) in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business. Employer will accept foreign equivalent degrees.

Experience: In addition to degree (or degree equivalent), must have at least three years of experience in all of the following:

• Managing the estimation process, bid evaluation, and monitoring of project cost and schedule performance for capital projects valued at more than $2 Million;
• Preparing detailed cost estimates and reports using customized MS Excel templates or other industry-specific software and tools; and
• Experience must include proficiency with SAP PS, Microsoft Power BI, Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
