Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Lead - Asset Lifecycle with experience in accounting and business systems to join our growing team in Houston.

Role Summary:

The Lead, Asset Lifecycle role reports to the Senior Manager (Sr. Mgr.), PMO. This role drives and supports the full Asset Lifecycle process and sub-processes such as Materials and Supplies (M&S) Inventory, Capital Spares and Swaps, Single Assets, Legacy Assets, and Project Closeout in collaboration with Buckeye's Project Teams, IT, Accounting, and Operations functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:



  • Asset Lifecycle Process Oversight- Supports the full Asset Lifecycle process and sub-processes such as Materials and Supplies (M&S) Inventory, Capital Spares and Swaps, Single Assets, Legacy Assets, and Project Closeout.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Manages M&S Inventory Team and Function
    • Cycle Count Process
    • Warehouse Conversion
    • Inventory Processes
    • Continuous Improvement



  • Stakeholder Liaison

    • Accounting: Alignment, support, and troubleshooting of Closeout, Swap, Process related activities.
    • Information Technology: Primary contact for testing and deployment of JDE changes and enhancements to the Asset Lifecycle.
    • Operations Services: Asset Equipment Tagging
    • Project Controls - Front End Closeout Process



  • Data Analytics & Reporting - Lead generation of monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics and reports that illustrate performance and opportunities to support future business decisions. Includes use of Excel reporting, PowerBi Dashboards and Workflow at the direction of Sr. Mgr, PMO.

  • Training & Process Documentation: Maintain current Training, Documentation, Change Log, and Issues Log for all area of Asset Lifecycle Business Process at the direction of Sr. Mgr, PMO.



Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or other related discipline required.
  • 5-7 years of professional financial experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, asset management, management reporting and supporting processes.
  • Knowledge of inventory management processes and technology is preferred.
  • Prior JDE experience related to assets, maintenance, work orders and/or inventory is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
