Pay Rate: $27.01 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, transit personnel, and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit property, platforms, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, hazards, and/or security-related concerns according to post orders and location protocols.
• Support crowd management, public assistance, and high-visibility presence during daily operations, service disruptions, special events, and/or emergency situations while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
