PAY RANGE: $111,400 - $148,500 (Minimum - Midpoint)

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Additional hours as required.

Position Summary:
The Manager EEP Systems and Support provides leadership and direction for the systems, processes, and analytical capabilities that support Evergy Energy Partners' power marketing and trading operations across the front, middle, and back offices. This role serves as the product owner and primary point of accountability for the EEP systems portfolio, ensuring that tools and processes enable compliant and efficient trading, risk management and accounting activities.

This position is responsible for establishing and communicating a product vision for EEP systems, defining and implementing key product management processes, prioritizing and managing the backlog of enhancements and defects, and measuring product performance against business objectives. The Manager supervises Systems Support Analysts and coordinates with contractors, IT, portfolio owners, and business stakeholders to deliver continuous improvement, high system reliability, and strong user adoption.

Summary of Primary Duties:
* Lead the EEP Business Systems and Support team, including internal and external resources, providing direction and oversight for key activities while fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, customer focus, and accountability
* Directly manage a team of Systems Support Analysts including workloads, priorities, supervision, scheduling, recruitment, development, evaluation and succession planning
* Establish and maintain a clear product vision and strategy for EEP systems that support EEP front, middle, and back office objectives.
* Partner with Portfolio Owners and Portfolio Leaders to define and align product roadmaps with business strategy, available budget, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
* Own the intake process for EEP system requests and issues, including review of requests and decision on acceptance or rejection, in coordination with appropriate business support.
* Leverage value based prioritization to manage the backlog of defects and enhancements, based on business impact, risk, effort, and alignment with strategic objectives.
* Work with analysts and IT to establish high-level solution designs and associated levels of effort (LOE) to inform prioritization and planning.
* Serve as business side project lead for software development and implementation projects
* Oversee the planning and execution of releases for EEP systems, including break fix, enhancements, and projects, while ensuring funding and capitalization requirements are met.
* Ensure that test strategies, test cases, and validation approaches are appropriate to the risk and complexity of each change.
* Coordinate with Systems Support Analysts, super users, and IT to ensure thorough testing, quality assurance, and post release validation.
* Be accountable for communicating release content and timing to stakeholders.
* Develop change management and training plans to facilitate user adoption of new or modified EEP systems and processes.
* Provide leadership for Level 1 and Level 2 support processes, ensuring timely response, appropriate severity assignment, and effective resolution of incidents.
* Coordinate with IT partners to manage system environments, integrations, and performance for EEP systems.
* Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adoption metrics for EEP systems and report on product performance against business objectives.

Education and Experience Requirement:
A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or other related degree program is preferred. Must have at least 8 years of related experience. Demonstrated ability to use software applications which include Microsoft products, trading and risk management solutions is preferred. Preferred candidate will have general knowledge of trading, risk or accounting operations best practices. Experience with supervising employees and contractors is preferred.

* Strong knowledge of business system implementation and support practices, particularly as they relate to power marketing, trading, risk management, and back office operations.
* Ability to establish product vision, prioritize backlogs, and manage product roadmaps.
* Ability to review and improve business processes, identify inefficiencies, and sponsor solutions supported by data and analysis.
* Strong leadership skills to effectively organize, plan, and execute work through others, including both employees and contractors.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non technical audiences and to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
* Skilled at translating complex technical requirements into actionable business solutions.
* Ability to apply value based prioritization, balance competing demands, and make decisions that align with business objectives and risk considerations.
* Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills, including the ability to interpret data, evaluate trade offs, and resolve conflicts.
* Ability to work in a fast paced, sometimes high stress environment and to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with partners throughout an organization
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI). Experience with ETRM or trading platforms is preferred.

Licenses, Certification, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
