Job Title: Inbound Logistics Specialist

Location: Culver City, CA (Remote or Hybrid)

Duration: 6-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $45/hour


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Inbound Logistics Specialist to support and optimize supply chain operations for a leading apparel brand. This role will play a key part in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), managing inbound shipments, and ensuring seamless coordination across vendors and internal teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with both domestic and offshore suppliers.


Key Responsibilities

SOP Development & Implementation



  • Establish, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for inbound logistics
  • Ensure processes align with offshore vendor operations and evolving business needs

Inbound Shipment Coordination



  • Manage and track inbound shipments from domestic and international vendors
  • Ensure timely delivery and accuracy of incoming goods

Vendor Management



  • Act as the primary point of contact for inbound logistics vendors
  • Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and supply chain issues

Process Optimization



  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics workflows and reduce costs
  • Implement best practices to increase efficiency and scalability

Inventory & Receiving Oversight



  • Coordinate receipt, inspection, and reconciliation of inbound goods
  • Partner with warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory records

Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and quality assurance teams
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across departments

Compliance & Documentation



  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with applicable regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, inventory, and processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination, with a focus on inbound logistics preferred
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations and best practices
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in logistics, ERP, or inventory management systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with offshore vendors and global supply chains
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs processes
