Position Description:

The University of Iowa Department of Molecular Physiology & Biophysics (in collaboration with the Dept. of Psychiatry) is seeking a candidate for a postdoctoral scholar position. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct highly technical in vivo neurophysiology and behavioral experiments and participate in largescale multidisciplinary collaborations. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and project management skills will be essential. Preferred areas of expertise include experimental design in models ofearly life stressincludingmaternal separationandadolescent social isolation, experience with stress paradigms such associal defeat stressandvariable stress, expertise in rodent behavioral assays such associal interactionandeffort-related reward choice tasks,sex differences behavioral assays,experience infMRI,neurophysiologyor both, and a track record of success in working and communicating across multiple disciplines.



Education Requirement:

The position requires the academic knowledge of a discipline generally associated with a Doctoral degree in Neuroscience or an equivalent professional degree.
