Assists the physician and office staff with performance of patient care activities consistent with the established standards of nursing practice. Position Details: Medical Assistant - Mercy South Cardiology Clinic Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday Qualifications Education:High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Experience:1 year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by clinic Primary Responsibilities: * Room patients, vital signs Assists with procedures, EKG * Instrument maintenance and prep * Stock exam rooms * Documentation, scanning * Point of care testing * Basic in basket and refills * Communicate with physician or APP * Follow protected information policy, follow OSHA standards * Adopt PPE and Quality/Safety Policies * Medication reconciliation, injection administration * Schedule appointments, medical record releases * Diagnostic and ancillary order entry Why Mercy?From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.
