POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shipping Logistics and Facilities Manager oversees the movement, storage and distribution of prescription packages to ensure they reach their destination efficiently and cost-effectively, including shipping vendor management, monitoring of shipping supplies, storage and warehouse management. This role also ensure facilities management so that all building systems are functional, managing outside Vendors and contracts, including ordering office supplies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:


  • Lead teams responsible for the timely ordering, receiving, distribution, and inventory management of supplies across assigned departments.
  • Help lead staff, including assisting in hiring, training, assigning work, coaching, and performance evaluation; ensure adherence to procedures, expiration management, product rotation, and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse with sufficient stock of consumables for automation, office, and facility needs.
  • Implement best practices using ERP systems, logistics tools, and other technologies to improve operational accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor key operational, inventory, and shipping metrics; identify root causes of under-performance and drive corrective actions.

  • Optimize replenishment processes through effective par management, cycle counts, product conversions, back-order mitigation, returns, shipping/receiving, and consignment programs.
  • Support logistics and carrier management strategy; provide input into carrier selection and longterm transportation planning.
  • Partner with site managers to enhance shipping performance and production line workflows.
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacy, facilities, lab, supply chain teams, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve endtoend operations.

  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, service reliability, and cost effectiveness.

  • Communicate decisions, escalate issues when needed, and support departmental and organizational initiatives.
  • Lead or participate in special projects and continuous improvement efforts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • High School Diploma required with 3+ years logistics and/or inventory management experience and 1+ years supervisory experience
  • Lean or Six Sigma training or demonstrated experience applying process improvement methodologies.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Hand's on Experience

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Association for Supply Chain Management CPIM, CSCP, CLTD; Institute for Supply Management CPSM; or similar certification preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs):


  • Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, and medical supply and/or pharmaceutical distribution practices.
  • Ability to analyze operational issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions to support productivity and service levels.
  • Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and meet operational deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with pharmacists, operational leaders, production staff, and inventory teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

Compensation Range:

$66,000.00- $96,000.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
