You will be joining a talented team thatmonitorsand maintains a variety of air and water quality systemspertaining tothe Waste Water Technician- qualityassurance at a solar panel manufacturingsite.In thispositionyou will provide customers with problem solving support, generatinga high levelof customer satisfaction.

Oversees the operation and performance of the WWTP and RO systems during the assigned shift. Responsible for performing, analyzing and carrying out required adjustments within both systems. The operator will be required to communicate with members of the pretreatment and maintenance teams in a cooperative and productive manner. The operator will also be responsible for passing down information to the proceeding shift operator so that all WWT/RO personnel are aware.

HowYou'llMake an Impact:

  • Operate, monitor, and trouble-shoot the facility and its processesin accordance withestablished procedures

  • Perform testing on lab samples, analyze and record results and datain accordance withcompany and regulatory requirements

  • Perform dailyprocess application quality analysisusing small intricate parts

  • Provide routine and special application service support to customers

  • Execute required chemistry tests

  • Troubleshoots system and equipment deficiencies as required.

  • Log and report data

  • Makes adequate chemical additions to wastewater and RO to achieve maximum performance results.

  • Maintain product inventories

  • Provide technical support to customers

  • Troubleshoot andmaintainsystems as needed

  • Use a fluke meter to check sensitivity

  • Communicates any and all plant issues to the WWT/RO manager in a clear and prompt manner.

  • Operate a test stand verifying air and fluid leaks

  • Communicates maintenance issues to VW maintenance personnel as needed and records any maintenance work in the daily log

  • Communicates with pretreatment and environmental personnel problematic system upsets such as chemical spill, high or low pH, and abnormal findings in raw wastewater.

  • Completes training for and executes proper procedure for receiving hazardous chemicals into the plant.

  • Responsible for 100% on time preventative maintenance tasking generated by the approved site Computerized Maintenance Management System

  • Assist with scope in U1, U2 and U3 WWT buildings

  • Handle daily sampling requirements, daily jar testing, and daily calibration of meters to maintain proper QA & QC

  • Handle monthly and quarterly sampling requirements as well as Storm Water Pond Sampling & Storm Water Management of Ponds as required

  • Handle daily sludge management of boxes and press system

  • Operate, maintain, and repair sludge pumps

  • Perform preventative maintenance based on PM system requirements

  • Meet with Chemical Management and others

Position Details:

  • Location:White, GA

  • Shift: 7:00 pm-7:00 am rotating days

  • Compensation:$28/hr - $32.50/hr

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High SchoolDiploma,GEDor equivalent

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Immigration Sponsorship not available for this opportunity

  • TN certification grade level 1 or higher; or ability and willingness to complete training to receive certification in the State of Tennessee

PhysicalRequirements of Position:

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high

  • Wearing and usinga respirator under certain conditions

  • Working in a variety of conditions including confined spaces, damp/dusty areas, and extreme temperatures

  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, climbing

  • Working indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $48,700-$73,000. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
