The Senior Technical Writer will be responsible for creating comprehensive and clear technical documentation for cutting-edge DoD and USAF defense modules and communication systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role requires working with technical cross-functional teams to support mission objectives and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, publication management, configuration management for DoD contracts and process creation. What You'll Do Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and program managers to gather information and translate complex technical details into clear and concise documentation Maintain version control and organize documentation repositories for easy accessibility Ensure documentation complies with security and confidentiality requirements. Review and edit CDRL documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy to program requirements Edit and maintain technical manuals, reports, work instructions, processes, templates, and other documentation for specific DoD programs Edit and maintain work instructions, processes, and governing documentation for the company What You Bring Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or related field required. Or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of technical writing and configuration management experience required. DoD knowledge and experience is a plus, especially knowledge of MIL-STD-38784 and MIL-STD-40051 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent writing and grammatical skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text. Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently. Ability to work with technical teams, program managers, and company leadership Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Due to Federal Contracting requirements, must be a US citizen. Must be able to qualify for and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Why Join SelectTech?
